History

After years of working for other contractors, Richard Lee Mudd his own underground telecom construction company — RLM Underground — in 2016. Lee established himself originally in the Kansas City market and specialized in underground telecom construction projects. As business grew quickly, Lee added projects across the United States in markets including Arizona, Nevada, Oklahoma, Texas and more.

Executive Team

Soon after graduating at the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences, Lee was working with one of the top contractors for Google Fiber to develop networks in major cities across the United States. It was during this time that Lee developed the idea for RLM Underground – a resource that works hard to solve problems and satisfy customer needs. He established RLM in 2016 and has doubled the growth of the company in each of its 3 years. In 2019 Lee added Engineering and more equipment to RLM to keep up with customer demand, and plans are to continue to grow and add more staff and equipment to ensure our customers’ projects are always being worked.
